GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT
7-days study visit on cross-sectorial cooperation in youth field
The project is a seminar with study visit elements, combined with local activities and workshops which will result also in partnership building and follow-up projects. Firstly, the project invests in the professional growth of the youth workers, youth leaders and stakeholders from the local municipalities, professionals and governmental organizations, through study visits at local municipalities, local NGOs, educational institutions where participants will have an opportunity to learn the best practices of implemented projects in the field of Youth, and cross-sectorial partnership. The project gives space for developing new partnerships, learning best practices in partner organisation and bringing new ideas/inspiration of methods/tools and activities back to participant´s organisations. There are planned visits to the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, Gyumri municipality, Shirak regional government, educational institutions, youth organizations as well as visits to other regions and cities of Armenia for study visits to local governmental institutions and youth organizations. The visits will allow to see how the government prioritize issues to address, develop strategies, policies, programmes and budget for young people. We believe it’s a good chance to have an impact on the decision-making and policy-making. Aim: To increase the efficiency of the youth work through promoting and raising capacities for cross-sectorial cooperation and youth participation as well as its implementation on different governmental and non-governmental levels and sectors, working in youth field.
AIM

OBJECTIVES
To create space for sharing knowledge, exchanging experiences and good practices in the field of participation, youth active citizenship and cross-sectorial cooperation;
To continue building international partnership and planning future projects in the field of youth involvement in decision-making at all level: Local, regional, national and International;
To find new strategies and inspiration on creating and supporting local youth initiatives through involvement of Young people, Local Authorities and Youth NGOs;
To learn new approaches and to find innovative way of communication between youth and local municipalities politicians/experts;
To better understand specific methodological approaches and cooperation between different stakeholders/youth NGOs and institutions in Shirak region (AM), which will be inspiring for others;
To create opportunities for starting long-term international cooperation in the field of youth participation and structural dialogue projects.
The overall aim of the project is to encourage and provide best practices to stakeholders, which will help to increase their active participation in decision making process on local and national level in their countries and develop long and short-term strategies and policies with involvement of young people.
The study visit will bring together 6 representatives per country (Programme and EaP countries), which have capacity to serve further as multipliers of the developed projects and strategies.
